Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of January 2025

  The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$10,362 billion by the end of January 2025. The amount increased by NT$23.9 billion as compared to the amount at the end of December 2024.
  Up until the end of January 2025, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 64.09% and 67.86% of total loans extended to total enterprises and private enterprises respectively, decreased by 0.6 and 0.66 percentage points respectively as compared to the end of December 2024. In January 2025, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.26% and the ratio increased by 0.03 percentage points compared to the end of December 2024.
  The Financial Supervisory Commission continues to encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with risk control and management in place. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for SMEs.
